“Bring it on, the more, the better” would be the obvious answer!
One of the most iconic cars ever produced by Lancia is the Delta Integrale. The model is so iconic that if you don’t know what we’re talking about, you’re not a true petrol head. But after years since Lancia meant anything in the automotive industry, it may come back better than ever with an official successor for the impressive Delta Integrale. The announcement hasn’t been made official at this point but just like all the good things start in this domain, it is part of a report.
According to the guys from Autocar, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) is currently considering the introduction of such a model. Even if the Delta Integrale will receive a true replacement, don’t get too excited about it because the report is indicating that this will probably be the last hurrah of the car company. The FCA boss, Sergio Marchionne, is not a big fan of the idea as he is more focused on the Alfa Romeo brand and its successful relaunch than the revival of Lancia and he’s apparently seeing every new Lancia model as a distraction from Alfa Romeo. Many executives within FCA consider the disappearing of the Lancia brand a big mistake so the carmaker’s future is currently undecided.
