Lamborghini’s boss Stefan Winkelman said recently that the newly unveiled Huracan will be the company’s best-seller ever.
The official replacement for the Gallardo, the Huracan, which made its public debut at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show, is believed to become the company’s best-selling supercar ever. These words have been used by Stefan Winkelman, who has recently spoken to the guys at Car Advice.
“We have got a good start in terms of order intake – I think it can be the best-seller ever in the history of Lamborghini, this car. For sure next year our target is to beat the best year of the Gallardo which was in 2008 with 1844 cars”, said the Lamborghini official.
A total of 14,022 units of the Gallardo have been produced and last year, 2,121 units have managed to find new owners. The Huracan has been officially presented to the public during the 2014 Geneva Motor Show. The supercar has an evolutionary design and a 5.2 liter naturally aspirated V10 engine under its hood. The output stands at 602 HP (449 kW) and 560 Nm (413 lb-ft) of torque. The carmaker says that the 0 to 200 km/h sprint takes 9.9 seconds and top speed stands at 325 km/h (202 mph).
