The first example of the Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat to be crashed will be auctioned off soon.
Usually when writing about the Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat we are used to seeing an impressive clip of the muscle car in action, but every once in a while, we get out of our “bubble” in order to be up with the times. The newest article with the impressive vehicle is telling us that the first ever crashed unit will be auctioned off soon. The Insurance Auto Auction website isn’t giving us much info on this wrecked muscle car except for the fact that its location is in Denver. The last updated data was on the 17th of January and it seems that the vehicle only did 64 miles when it was crashed.
Rumor has it that the wreck will be auctioned from 17,000 USD, but this still has to be confirmed yet. As you probably already know, the Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat has been officially unveiled back in 2014 and this is currently the world’s fastest production muscle car. The vehicle is packing in a 6.2 liter V8 supercharged engine under its hood, the same one used on the Charger SRT Hellcat too, which is bringing a total output of 707 HP (527 kW) and 880 Nm (650 lb-ft) of torque. Its supercar figures and starting price of just 59,995 USD is making it one of the most appreciated vehicles of its time. The model can reach a top speed of 320 km/h (199 mph).
