The fourth member of the Range Rover family – and arguably the best looking of the bunch – the Velar has just featured its official worldwide preview during the Geneva Motor Show.
But you can spend even more than the $50,895 needed to snatch the base 2018 Range Rover Velar – and we’re not talking just about adding options or getting a more expensive version. Instead you can have the coupe SUV with its own matching watch available for a cool $8,700. It is called the “Zenith Chronomaster El Primero Range Rover Velar Special Edition,” and the new timepiece is the second in a collaboration series between Range Rover and Swiss watchmaker Zenith. The first one was introduced in September 2016 to go alongside the Range Rover SVAutobiography Dynamic.
The new watch – also showcased next to the Velar at the Geneva Motor Show – has a unique ceramized aluminum case and comes with a 42-mm case featuring a stylish burnished copper finish matched by a brushed slate grey dial and three chronograph sub-dials. It also comes with a date indicator in the six o’clock position and the words “Range Rover” and “Velar” engraved on the partially transparent underside. The two companies also delivered a new strap – dark grey diamond-perforated calfskin (the same Scottish leather used in the Land Rover cabins) covering a rubber strap.
