It has an appealing design, it’s an off-roader signed by Lamborghini and it is going to be offered for auction soon.
We’re not talking about the upcoming Urus SUV because Lamborghini has been on this path previously, with the LM002. The so-called Rambo Lambo has been in production between 1986 and 1993 and, despite being put together in an extremely limited number, some examples end up for sale, like this particular one, which will be offered for auction by RM Sotheby on the 25th of July. It has a cocaine-white exterior finish, six Weber carburetors, a 76 gallon fuel tank, Pirelli Scorpion 345/60/R17 tires and it has travelled for 32,000 miles (52,000 km) throughout its lifetime.
The particular model was produced in 1988 and despite weighing 2.5 tones, it needs just 7.7 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph). With only 328 examples of the LM002 being produced, this vehicle is expected to fetch between 140,000 USD and 180,000 USD. The Rambo Lambo has a four-door body style and it is related to the Countach. It stands at 4,790 mm long, 2,000 mm wide and 1,850 mm tall, with a wheelbase of 2,950 mm. Under its hood, Lamborghini has added a 5.2 liter V12 engine, borrowed from the above mentioned model, which is capable of producing a total output of 444 HP. Power is being sent to the wheels through a 5-speed manual transmission.
