The Chevrolet Corvette is getting ready to celebrate yet another milestone – 65 years since the introduction of the first-generation Corvette. Naturally, Chevrolet is keen on capitalizing on the marker, so here’s a special edition Vette’ for the New York Auto Show.
There’s an impressive heritage for the Corvette – so the C7 special edition gracing the New York Auto Show is surely going to find the 650 buyers quite quickly. Called the Carbon 65 Edition, the limited series comes as a package costing another $15,000 above the price of the selected Corvette – either the 2018 Grand Sport 3LT or the Z06 3LZ. It’s also available on a global scale, so anyone around the world can bask in the model’s heritage. Available perks include a new bare carbon fiber exterior package, with front spoiler, side sills, rear spoiler, and quarter ducts. The carbon fiber trim is joined by a set of gloss black wheels and a new Ceramic Matrix Gray exterior hue. There are also bespoke fender stripes, door graphics, and blue brake calipers for added panache.
The cockpit is complete with a special jet-black suede finish featuring blue sticking, and Competition Sport seats. There are also nice details such as “Carbon 65” logos on the doors sills, and carbon fiber detailing on the steering wheel. All 2018 model year Corvettes now get a standard HD radio, an optional Performance Data Recorder, a new rear-view camera, as well as a Spice Red convertible top option. In addition, Grand Sport owners can opt for the ceramic brake package without having to pay for the full Z07 performance pack.
