The new seven-seater people carrier Ford Galaxy has been priced recently in the United Kingdom and it will be arriving at dealerships this summer.
The starting price of the 2015 Ford Galaxy has been set at 26,445 GBP. The model is coming with a unique third row of seats which can be raised from the boot floor by simply pressing a button, a first in the MPV segment, and the second and third rows of seats can be folded flat thanks to a button located on the center console. Inside it we can find the new 10-inch digital display for the instrument cluster which can be customized and an extra 20 liters of storage beneath the boot floor.
The vehicle, which is taking aim at the Volkswagen Sharan and Seat Alhambra, has been based on the new Mondeo generation and it is coming with the integral link rear suspension setup, the same one from the S-Max and Mondeo. The self-leveling rear suspension is also available and drivers can select the Comfort, Normal or Sport driving modes. The SYNC2 infotainment system has also been added. Petrol options include the 158 HP 1.5L EcoBoost and the 237 HP 2.0L EcoBoost, along with the 207 HP and 332 lb-ft) of torque 2.0L TDCi Biturbo diesel, or the single turbocharged version of the same unit, with 118 HP, 148 HP or 178 HP. The new Galaxy is said to be offered in Zetec, Titanium and Titanium X specifications and the top spec model starts from 33,095 GBP. Deliveries will begin this summer.
