Audi is planning to fill the gap between the current S3 and the RS3 with an S3 Plus version, which will come with approximately 375 HP.
The gap between the S3 and the top of the line RS3 will be filled by the German based automaker Audi with a so-called S3 Plus. The model in question will become available in the hatchback form and it’s believed to be officially unveiled by the end of this year and to go on sale sometimes in 2015. The upcoming Audi S3 Plus is believed to come with an impressive 375 HP and the RS3 will go beyond the 400 HP (298 kW) mark.
The current range topping Audi S3 is taking its power from a 2.0 liter four-cylinder TFSI engine, which is good for 296 HP (220 kW) and 380 Nm (280 lb-ft) of torque. The upcoming RS3 will get a 2.5 liter five-cylinder engine under its hood but it remains unknown what will power the future S3 Plus. Rumors are saying that the new Audi S3 Plus will be officially unveiled this year so look for it during the 2014 Geneva Motor Show, in March. Additional details on the subject remain unknown for the moment.
