The Lamborghini SUV will be named the Urus and model will be officially presented to the public at the 2012 Beijing Motor Show next week.
After leaking in a brochure not too long ago, the upcoming Lamborghini SUV is once again placed into the spotlights, this time by the guys at chinacartimes.com, who are announcing that the model will be named the Urus. According to our source, the Lamborghini SUV won’t be named the MLC, as it was initially rumored, and the luxurious crossover will wear a “Urus” badge on it. The model will be similar to the Estoque Concept and it’s expected to be fully revealed next week, during the 2012 Beijing Motor Show.
The concept of the Lamborghini SUV, the Urus, will come in a three-door for the prototype and the full production version will hit the market in 2015. The crossover will be front engined and rumors are saying that it will take its power from the same engine used in the Lamborghini Gallardo, the 5.2 liter V10 unit, which should generate almost 600 horsepower. The Lamborghini Urus will be made on the same platform as the Audi Q7, the Porsche Cayenne, the Volkswagen Touareg and the new Bentley SUV. Prices are expected to be set at 200,000 USD.
