The German based automaker Volkswagen is currently teasing the Lavida Variant through a few billboards for the 2013 Shanghai Motor Show.
Volkswagen is getting ready to launch a wagon version of the 2013 Lavida in the Chinese automotive market in a couple of months, but until the model will arrive in showrooms, it’s currently getting ready to be officially presented to the public during the 2013 Shanghai Motor Show. The Volkswagen Lavida Variant is getting a hatchback-like style and it will only be available in China. The model will also be manufactured locally, by the Shanghai-Volkswagen joint venture, and it will become an affordable estate.
The 2014 Volkswagen Lavida Variant is sharing the same 2,610 mm wheelbase length of the sedan, and because of this, and other similar components, the Volkswagen Lavida is expected to gain a 1.4 liter turbo engine, borrowed from the sedan, which is good for 130 BHP (97 kW), or the 1.6 liter unit, with its 104 BHP (77 kW). The price list of the Volkswagen Lavida Variant is expected to be set at approximately 120,000 Yuan, which is translated at 14,900 EUR or 19,400 USD. Additional details on the model are limited for the moment and will be announced during the 2013 Shanghai Motor Show.
