A New Zealand car dealer has accidently sold a 1994 BMW 320i for a ridiculous price of 1 American dollar and the company had nothing else to do than honor the sale, which it did.
Every country probably had a commercial at one time where someone was asking “what would you do if you had 1 dollar?” and the answers were probably something like “I would buy gum” or “I would pay the guy who is washing my windscreen” but what if for the ridiculous amount you could buy a car, and not just any car but a BMW 320i, even if the vehicle isn’t exactly new.
This is exactly the case of a lucky customer of Stadium Cars, a car dealer in Christchurch, New Zealand, who accidently sold a 1994 BMW 320i for just $1. The dealership’s manager, Mike Notes, said that the car in question was sold for 1 American dollar by mistake but even so, the company had nothing else to do than honor the sale, which it did. The 1994 BMW 320i would have been priced at 3,000 USD so there you have it, next time when you have 1 dollar in your pocket, take a trip to your local dealership. That works better if you live in New Zealand.
