Toyota sets US pricing for 2012 Highlander and FJ Cruiser
Toyota has confirmed US market prices for its 2012 Highlander and FJ Cruiser SUVs, including both hybrid and petrol variants, with the FJ Cruiser seeing a modest increase.
Toyota has announced US market pricing for the 2012 Highlander and FJ Cruiser, with the new MSRPs taking effect for immediate orders. The Highlander range, including both petrol and hybrid models, sees starting prices from $28,090 for the base 2WD four-cylinder up to $37,045 for the Limited V6. The hybrid variant begins at $38,140 for the Base 4WD and tops out at $43,795 for the Limited 4WD.
The 2012 FJ Cruiser is now priced from $25,990 for the 4x2 with a five-speed automatic transmission, while the 4x4 V6 automatic starts at $27,580. This reflects a $200 increase over the previous model year, or roughly 0.7 percent, according to Toyota. No major equipment changes accompany the price adjustment for the FJ Cruiser.
Hybrid and petrol options for Highlander
The Highlander continues to offer a choice of four-cylinder and V6 petrol engines, as well as a hybrid powertrain. The hybrid remains available only with four-wheel drive and in two trim levels: Base and Limited. The petrol Highlander is offered in 2WD and 4WD configurations, with a six-speed automatic for the four-cylinder and a five-speed automatic for the V6.
FJ Cruiser pricing and changes
Toyota’s FJ Cruiser, known for its retro-inspired styling and off-road capability, sees only a minor price adjustment for 2012. The model retains its 4.0-litre V6 engine and choice of rear- or four-wheel drive. The price rise does not bring any new standard features or mechanical updates for this model year.
