And it will eventually happen, just not as fast as you might expect it.
The new generation of the Audi A4 has been recently unveiled and now, since rendering artists have new material to play, it hasn’t been long since a new RS4 Avant has been digitally imagined. The photo posted above has been signed by X-Tomi Design and it is showing us the artist’s vision of the upcoming performance estate which is expected to come out in the 2017 model year, meaning that it should become available for sale sometimes in 2016.
The model in question has received the more aggressive front bumper, the updated front grille with the RS4 badge added to it, the new side sills and the larger alloy wheels. Visible changes made to it stop here but keep in mind that we aren’t talking about the production version at this time so this might be actually very different than the one seen above. Audi is planning to drop the current 4.2 liter V8 engine from the RS4 and replace it with a smaller unit. Rumor has it that a V6 turbocharged might be fitted under its hood but we have no clue at this time how much this will be producing. Besides the RS4, Audi is also planning to introduce a new S4 version of its model. Chances are this will be unveiled earlier than the more hardcore one.
