The Italian based car manufacturer Alfa Romeo is planning to develop a performance sedan which will become a rival for the BMW M3 and other vehicles in the segment.
Alfa Romeo has some big plans for its future models and one of these will be the development of the Giulia sedan, and its high performance GTA version. The announcement hasn’t been made official just yet, but according to the guys from Auto Express, the upcoming Alfa Romeo Giulia GTA will become a rival for models such as the BMW M3, the Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG, the Audi RS4 or similar models from Cadillac, Jaguar and so on.
The upcoming Alfa Romeo Giulia GTA will be getting an aggressive front bumper, hidden rear door handles, a ventilated hood, a prominent front grille and some distinctive rims. Its most important part will be found under its hood where the model in question is expected to gain the 3.0 liter twin turbo V6 engine, made by Maserati. The unit is producing 480 HP (358 kW) to 520 HP (387 kW) and it will be connected to a dual clutch transmission and a limited-slip differential, allowing it to reach 100 km/h from a standstill in less than 4 seconds. More details on it remain unknown for the moment.
