The all-new Dodge Dart-inspired Fiat Viaggio has been officially presented to the public in China, during the 2012 Beijing Motor Show.
After the model has been announced for the Asian automotive event and then leaked all over the web, the Fiat Viaggio is once again highlighted, this time with the company pulling the wraps off of it at the 2012 Beijing Motor Show in China. The Fiat Viaggio is made on the same platform as the Dodge Dart, the CUSW (Compact US Wide) and the model is 4,679 mm long, 1,850 mm wide and it’s riding on a wheelbase of 2,708 mm, being presented as “the new C-segment benchmark”.
“Viaggio is positioned in the most competitive mid-class segment in China’s automotive market, targeting potential consumers with a passion for life. Enthusiastic, responsible, daring to dream and persistent: they are young and styling, having grown up in the cities and set to become the backbone of Chinese society”, as Fiat says.
The all-new Fiat Viaggio will be available with a range of turbo engines like the 1.4 liter T-Jet with its 120 horsepower and 150 HP and the transmission choices will include a five-speed manual and a six-speed automatic. In china, the model will go on sale as the Fei Xiang, while in Italy it will be known as the Viaggio.
