Even if the German based automaker didn’t say anything about the BMW 1-Series GT yet, the guys at the bmwblog.com are announcing that the model will make its official appearance at this year’s Paris Motor Show. The BMW 1-Series GT will be a direct competitor to the Mercedes-Benz B-Class and the model is being known internally as the Compact Activity Tourer. The BMW 1-Series Gran Turismo will be just one of many models to come with front-wheel drive from BMW.
Our source is also saying that the BMW 1-Series Gran Turismo will be powered by three- and four-cylinder turbo engines, and it’s no surprise that the model will ride on the new platform with front-wheel drive. Once the new BMW 1-Series GT will hit the market, Hybrid and xDrive versions of it are also expected, but we don’t know anything about its performance and fuel consumption yet. The BMW 1-Series GT will be officially presented to the public at the 2012 Paris Motor Show and the German car will hit the dealerships in 2014.
