Well, chances are you will say “yes” but forget about taking a ride in it because this really isn’t your average yellow-finished people carrier with an immigrant behind the wheel.
Taxis are something that go by unnoticed by petrol heads but what if they would become supercars or hypercars? In a perfect world, this is quite achievable and we have to admit that this particular McLaren P1, finished in a yellow shade and equipped with a Taxi sign, is really what the roads need. The model in question has been snapped in Taiwan recently and since it has no phone number attached to it and, especially since we’re talking about a hypercar, chances are this is no real taxi. But it is a good joke.
McLaren has officially pulled the wraps off the production version of the P1 back in 2013, during the Geneva Motor Show. The exotic ride is the most exclusive out of the “trio” as it is being produced in just 375 units and, despite the expensive price, the carmaker has managed to sell all of them. The P1 has a two-door coupe body style, with a rear mid-engine and rear-wheel drive layout. It is being assembled in Woking, Surrey, England and it is the most powerful and the fastest road-legal McLaren up to date. The vehicle is carrying an updated 3.8l twin turbo V8 engine under its hood, along with an electric motor. The 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) acceleration is made in less than 3s thanks to the 903 HP and 978 Nm of torque and top speed stands at 350 km/h (217 mph).
