Justin Bieber Adds Ferrari LaFerrari to His Garage
Canadian singer Justin Bieber confirms he has ordered a Ferrari LaFerrari, joining a small group of celebrity owners of the limited-run hybrid hypercar.
Justin Bieber has confirmed he has ordered a Ferrari LaFerrari, adding the Maranello-built hybrid hypercar to his collection. The Canadian singer told USA Today that delivery was expected soon, making him one of only 499 owners worldwide.
Ferrari produced the LaFerrari between 2013 and 2016, limiting the run to 499 examples, all of which were spoken for shortly after the model’s debut. The car sits at the top of Ferrari’s road car range, pairing a 6.3-litre naturally aspirated V12 with an electric motor using the company’s HY-KERS system. Combined output stands at 950hp and 900Nm, with power sent to the rear wheels through a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.
Performance figures are in line with the LaFerrari’s hypercar status. Ferrari claims 0-100km/h in under three seconds and a top speed of 350km/h. The LaFerrari’s direct rivals include the McLaren P1 and the Porsche 918 Spyder, both of which use hybrid powertrains to deliver similar performance and emissions figures.
Celebrity owners and exclusivity
Bieber joins a select group of LaFerrari owners that includes Formula One driver Lewis Hamilton, chef Gordon Ramsay and investor Robert Herjavec. The car’s exclusivity, high price and complex hybrid system have made it a sought-after addition to celebrity and collector garages. When new, the LaFerrari was priced at around $1.4 million (USD), though values on the secondary market have since climbed.
