The electric version of the brand new Kia Soul has been recently caught on camera by our spy photographers while it was being tested on public roads.
The South Korean based automaker Kia is getting ready to introduce the Soul EV, the greenest version of the model, and such a prototype has been recently spotted by our spy photographers while it was being tested on the road. The heavy camouflage added on top of its body isn’t letting us see some of its main features but even so, we can clearly tell that this is a Kia Soul and the images with its charger system need no extra explanation.
The brand new Kia Soul EV is riding on the same platform as the Rio and it has no exhaust system, EV-type wheels and tires and some other tweaks which are “classic” on other electric vehicles. The model in question is expected to make its way onto the market sometimes in 2015, which means that it will wear the 2016 model year in its name. Prices of the model are expected to start at approximately 22,000 euros, which should make it quite appealing to its future customers. Additional details on the Kia Soul EV remain unknown for the moment.
