The upcoming rival for the BMW X6 prepared by Mercedes-Benz will be known as the ML Coupe once it will be hitting the market in early 2015.
The development of the Mercedes-Benz MLC is no longer a surprise for anyone as the model in question is known to become a direct rival for the BMW X6 but it seems that the SAV will be changing its name once it will hit the market. According to a report posted by Mercedes-Benz Passion Blog, the vehicle will be sold under the ML Coupe name and it will be produced at the company’s Tuscaloosa, Alabama factory, in the United States.
The Mercedes-Benz ML Coupe will be sharing the same assembly line as the Chinese-spec R-Class, as the C-Class, as the GL and the ML. The C292, as it being known internally, will basically be a production version of the Concept Coupe SUV, and it will ride on the same platform of the M-Class. The body shape of the model will be similar to the one of its main rival, but BMW is one step ahead, because it will be offering a new generation of the SAV later this year. The official unveil of the ML Coupe will be made in the first half of 2015.
