The C63 AMG coupe has been rumored for some time and will give Mercedes a direct competitor to the BMW M3 and Audi S5.
According to Mercedes Netherlands website, the new C63 AMG Coupe gets a 336 kW – around 460 PS – 6.2 liter V8 engine.
So in spite of the rumors, this car will use the 6.3-liter V8 not the new 5.5-liter engine, and is not a Black Series. Maybe that’s still in the works, maybe not we don’t know yet.
One thing is clear. Connected to a new AMG Speed Shift 7G-Tronic gearbox, the sporty coupe will be capable to hit 62 mph in ~ 4.5 seconds.
It looks smart, though is unsurprisingly nothing too revolutionary. From the front, it is RECOGNIZABLY C-Class, whilst an upswept beltline along the flank rises to meet a raked C-pillar, giving it a pronounced coupe profile. The package includes AMG front bumper, AMG grille, specific AMG LED dayrunning lights, sideskirts, AMG exhaust system, AMG alloys and the AMG logo at the back.
