The Romanian automaker Dacia and its mother brand Renault have recently announced that over 300,000 Duster SUVs have been sold worldwide.
According to the two car manufacturers, more than 300,000 Duster low-cost SUVs have been sold worldwide in less than two years since the model was launched. Renault says that out of the 300,000 units sold, 265,000 are made under the Dacia brand and the rest of them are wearing the French company’s logos. In the two years of existence, the Duster has been awarded with the 2011 Car of the Year and the 20114×4 of the Year in Romania and Croatia, while Auto Bild has named it the Residual Value Champion in its class.
The Dacia Duster will be soon launched in the United Kingdom, where the model is already available for pre-order. Deliveries in the UK will start in less than two months and the low-cost SUV has a starting price of 10,000 pounds or 12,150 euros for the entry-level version, with front-wheel drive, while the all-wheel drive variants will be available for less than 12,500 pounds or 15,150 euros. The Dacia Duster will be available in the UK with a 1.6 liter 16-valve petrol engine, with 110 HP, along with the 1.5 liter dCi diesel unit, in two outputs, with 85 and 105 HP.
