Alfa Romeo has revealed the entire Giulia range at the 86th Geneva Motor Show, confirming a selection of petrol and diesel engines, three trim levels, and a showroom launch set for April 2016 across the EMEA region.

Until now, only the high-performance Giulia Quadrifoglio had been seen in detail, but Geneva brought the full line-up into view. The range starts with the standard Giulia, moves up to the Super, and tops out with the Quadrifoglio. Even the entry-level model arrives with 16-inch alloy wheels, dual-zone climate control, Alfa Connect 6.5 infotainment, and cruise control with speed limiter as standard.

Engine line-up and transmissions

The Giulia family offers a 2.2-litre diesel engine in two states of tune: 150hp (110kW) and 180hp (132kW). Both can be paired with either a six-speed manual or an eight-speed automatic gearbox, sending power to the rear wheels. The petrol option is a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder, producing 200hp (137kW) at 5,000rpm and 330Nm of torque at 1,750rpm, exclusively mated to the eight-speed automatic.

Alfa Romeo has fitted the Giulia range with a suite of safety and driver-assist features. All models come with forward collision warning, autonomous emergency braking with pedestrian detection, and an electromechanical braking system that combines stability control and servo assistance. The Quadrifoglio retains its unique active aero splitter.

Ordering and showroom arrival

Alfa Romeo confirmed that first orders for the Giulia range would be accepted from 15 April 2016 in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. The Swiss debut marked the start of the Giulia’s commercial rollout, with deliveries to follow later in the year.
