Porsche Macan is sold out in Germany image

The brand new Porsche Macan has been such a hit in its local auto market that the SUV has been sold out for 2014.

The newly unveiled Porsche Macan has been more successful than originally believed and Germans have bought the entire supply of SUVs aimed for 2014. The smaller brother of the Cayenne is believed to get an increased production in order to meet the demand for this year and so, the 50,000 units which were supposed to find new owners in 2014 will be transformed into 80,000 units, with the sales target also increasing.

The Porsche Macan has been officially presented to the public back in 2013, during the Los Angeles Auto Show, in November. Porsche is offering the Macan with a 3.0 liter twin turbo engine, for the cheapest version, which is producing a total output of 340 HP (250 kW), in the so-called Macan S. The Macan S Diesel is getting 258 HP (190 kW) from a 3.0 liter V6 twin turbo. The most expensive variant is the 3.6L V6 twin turbo powered, with its 400 HP (294 kW). The Porsche Macan is 4,699 mm long, 1,923 mm wide and 1,624 mm tall.
