BMW USA has announced the official price list for the i8 locally, where the hybrid sports car can be yours from 135,700 USD.
Americans will soon be able to place an order for the BMW i8 as the model in question has just been priced in the country. According to the local division of the carmaker, the hybrid vehicle will start from 135,700 USD, which is the equivalent of 99,000 euros or 79,000 GBP, without the destination and handling charge, which will set you back for another 950 USD. Three packages will become available for the model, the Giga World, the Tera World and the Pure Impulse World.
These include an upgrade to the cornering LED units, the 20-inch W spoke or 20-inch turbine wheels and several other tweaks, such as the perforated leather interior finished in white or black. The cheapest trim costs 2,000 USD and it’s followed by the Tera World, from 3,000 USD, adding the brown leather and cloth interior and the blue seatbelts. The Pure Impulse World is coming from 10,800 USD and it’s also adding, besides the features mentioned above, the anthracite headliner, the gray leather interior and more.
Power is still being provided by the 131 HP (86 kW) and 250 Nm (184 lb-ft) of torque hybrid synchronous motor, backed up by the 1.5 liter I3 range extender, with its 228 HP (170 kW) and 320 Nm (236 lb-ft) of torque. The total output stands at 357 HP (266 kW) and 570 Nm (420 lb-ft) of torque.
