A drag race between a Tesla Model S P85D and a Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat has been caught on camera recently and it is showing us which is faster between the two.
Ever since they got new rides which can accelerate pretty fast in a straight line, Americans have been drag racing them and captured the results on camera. The newest example is showing us a Tesla Model S P85D going head to head with a Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat. The clip, which has been posted below, may come as a surprise to most of you, but let’s not forget that both of them are extremely powerful.
The Tesla Model S P85D has made its European premiere at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show. This is bringing an electric motor in the rear, rated at 470 HP and another electric motor in the front, producing 211 HP. The total output stands at 691 HP (515 kW) and 930 Nm (687 lb-ft) of torque. This is enough to allow the model to reach 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 3.3 seconds and a top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph).
The Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat is the most powerful production muscle car ever. This has been introduced back in 2014 and it is available to order from almost 60,000 USD. The model has a 6.2 liter V8 engine under its hood, with 707 HP (527 kW) and 880 Nm (650 lb-ft) of torque. From 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) it needs less than 4 seconds and top speed is 320 km/h (199 mph).
