Top Gear’s Season 14 Episode 2 is now available. On this episode: Corvette ZR1 and Audi R8 V10 are reviewed by TopGear team. Challenges: Building an electric car. Guest: Michael Sheen
The Corvette ZR1 is powered by a modified version of LS3 engine, producing 638 hp (476 kW) and 604 ft·lbf (819 N·m). of torque. It’s an amazing car - is the most powerful production Corvette to date. Each cylinder bank has an intercooler. Oil injectors, for improved cooling and noise reduction, are used for the first time in a production Corvette. The transmission is a 6-speed manual Tremec TR6060 with a MH3 gearset. The hood contains a polycarbonate window which will allow the intercooler to be viewable. What we can say … this is indeed one of the best cars in the world. Too bad that most of us can’t buy one. Why ? Because costs more then 100.000$ !

Talking about the Audi R8 V10 version… well we know that Germans make the best cars in the world. And the R8 V10 is clearly an super - expensive and luxurious machine. Powered by a Lamborghini-sourced V10, the latest R8 sends 525 horsepower to all four wheels thanks to a sophisticated quattro all-wheel-drive system. The engine is connected through either a six-speed manual or R tronic sequential gearbox with Sport mode. No matter the transmission (launch control works on both models), 0-to-60 MPH comes in at a claimed 3.7 seconds, with the R tronic delivering its shifts in just one-hundredth of a second. The headlamps are assembly with 24 diodes to represent Audi’s victories at the 24 Hours of LeMans. Anyway you can found anything about this supercar here. But keep in mind. If you want one you will have to pay from $146,000 with a manual to $155,400 for the R tronic.
