What’s new in PCM 3.0?
The PCM 3.0 system is now at the core of the Panamera’s interior technology. Porsche has enlarged the touchscreen to 6.5 inches and added compatibility with iPod, Bluetooth, and MP3 players. The 40-gigabyte hard drive stores navigation data, while voice control allows drivers to operate key functions without taking their hands off the wheel. Porsche’s update also halves the number of dashboard buttons, simplifying access to entertainment and navigation.

The VDI/VDE-Gesellschaft Mess-und Automatisierungstechnik, part of the Association of German Engineers, awarded PCM 3.0 the USE-WARE Award. The judges cited its ease of use and the speed with which drivers can access key functions. Porsche emphasises that the new system’s menu structure should feel familiar to owners of previous models, even as it integrates new technology and connectivity options.
