New renderings with the 2018 Audi A6 are showing us how the model may look like in its future generation.
The German based automaker is apparently planning to introduce a new generation of the Audi A6 but if this has gotten your attention, forget about it, in the near future at least, because the model in question is expected to hit the market sometimes in 2017, so you are in for a big wait. The two images posted below are actually renderings of the vehicle which have been signed by Theophilus Chin and they are based on the Prologue Concept, not the “Piloted” one, which is expected to stand as a basis for the next generation of the premium vehicle.
The Audi A6’s new-gen will come as a 2018 model year, probably, and this should be a completely new car, riding on an entirely new platform, getting a new design, a new cabin layout, new technologies and last, but not least, new engines under its hood. Besides the new Audi A6, the Prologue Concept is also expected to inspire a new flagship model, the Audi A9, which will have the tough job of going against models such as the Mercedes-Benz S-Class Coupe. The concept car was equipped with several touch screens, with a digital instrument cluster and it had a 4.0 liter TFSI V8 engine under its hood, with 605 HP (445 kW) and 750 Nm (553 lb-ft) of torque, mated to an 8-speed tiptronic transmission, sending power to the all-wheel drive system.
