Alonso and Massa are getting Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8s

The Jeep brand has recently announced that Formula 1 drivers, Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa, will each be getting a Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8.

According to the North American manufacturer, the decision to offer two Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 models to Formula 1 drivers Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa was “announced” as a celebration in launching the powerful crossover in Europe. In order to highlight the two exclusive models, the Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8s have been painted in red, the color of the Ferrari brand, and the vehicles have also been personalized by Jeep engineers to suit the needs of the two Formula 1 drivers.

Jeep says that the two models have a modified interior design, where the upholstery became red, just like the central console, the door panels and part of the dashboard, while the gauges illumination is yellow, another specific color of the Scuderia. Under the hood, the Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 is powered by a 6.4 liter HEMI V8 engine, which is developing a total output of 468 horsepower and it has a peak torque of 624 Nm. The powerful crossover can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5 seconds before reaching a top speed of 257 km/h.
