The new generation of the Skoda Fabia has been named the safest car in its segment by Euro NCAP, for 2014, after it managed to achieve a full 5-star rating.
Just a couple of months ago, Euro NCAP has crash tested the new generation of the Skoda Fabia as the supermini has managed to achieve a maximum 5-star safety rating. The model in question is one of only 14 small car which has managed to achieve the full 5 stars and it has been named the safest car of its segment, thanks to its passenger protection for both adults and also for the children.
The 2015 Skoda Fabia has shined in all categories, Passenger Protection, Child Safety, Pedestrian Protection and Safety Assist. The vehicle has scored 84 percent in the Adult Occupant protection, 81 percent in Child Occupant protection, 75 percent in Pedestrian Safety and 68 percent in the Safety Assist. 32 points were given to the car in the first one and 40 points have been awarded to the second category. In the 18 month child, the model received 12 points and 11.9 points have been awarded to it in the 3 year old child, with the child safety features bringing another 4 points.
The Pedestrian safety added another 27 points, along with 9 points in the Safety Assist. The new Fabia is coming with Front Assistant system with the integrated City Emergency Brake function as standard with the SE spec, a radar measuring the distance in front of the car, multi-collision brake, Driver Activity Assistant, Hill Hold Control, speed limiter, tire pressure monitoring system and several other features.
