Peugeot managed to make a fuzz at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show with its models, but the main star of the company was definitely the brand new 308 R Concept.
The Peugeot 308 R Concept has been officially presented to the public, in a premiere, at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show. The model in question is coming with a more aggressive look, highlighted by the front and rear bumpers, by the bonnet or by the front grille. Let’s mention the two-tone paint job because it’s not like you see it every day on the road so the French based automaker definitely knows how to put some light on a new model.
The new Peugeot 308 R Concept managed to stole a bit of attention from the regular 308, which was unveiled at the same event too, in its final production version. Power to the model is being provided by a 1.6 liter engine, which is now producing an impressive 270 HP and 330 Nm of torque (243 lb-ft). The unit is mated to a six-speed manual transmission which is sending power to the front-wheel drive. Peugeot didn’t release any performance numbers on the 308 R Concept but rumors are saying that the model can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in less than 6 seconds, before reaching a limited top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph).
