Opel’s newest creation is called the Adam Rocks S and this has been shown recently, online, ahead of puts debut which has been scheduled for next week, during the International Amsterdam Motor Show. The brand new model is benefitting from the same S treatment as the regular Adam S, but this is more rugged in design. It is bringing the 15 mm lowered suspension, compared to the Adam Rocks, along with the uprated braking system, the ESP which can be turned off, electrically operated canvas roof available in 5 hues and a total choice of 11 body paints.
The new Opel Adam Rocks S is taking its power from the same 1.4 liter four-cylinder ECOTEC turbocharged gasoline burner, from the Adam S, rated at 150 HP (110 kW) and 220 Nm (162 lb-ft) of torque. From 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) the model needs 8.5 seconds and it can go all the way up to 210 km/h (130 mph), which is its top speed. From 80 km/h (50 mph) to 120 km/h (75 mph), the vehicle needs 7.9 seconds. Power is sent to the wheels through a short-ratio 6-speed manual transmission. The Opel Adam Rocks S will be debuting in The Netherlands on the 17th of April. More details on it will be announced at the automotive event.
