Range Rover officials have announced their plans to build a convertible version of the Evoque model.
Based on the huge success of the Nissan Murano CrossCabriolet, Range Rover’s management decided to produce a convertible version of the Evoque, which will probably be available for future customers late 2013 or early 2014.
With only a folding fabric roof and a two-door configuration, the Evoque Cabrio will be powered most likely by a 2.0 litre turbocharged engine, which combines direct fuel injection and dual variable valve timing system, to a total of 240 horsepower.
According to the Range Rover car manufacturer, the Evoque Cabrio will be targeted at customers who are looking for more luxury models.
Nissan Murano CrossCabriolet will have a serious competition in the convertible Evoque, which will most likely be filled with gadgets, making it almost iresistable to future rap videos.
Prices of the future Range Rover Evoque will start at around 50.000 US dollars and, considering the car manufacturer’s history, customers should better sign up on the waiting lists.
