A new digital rendering has surfaced showing the next-generation BMW X6 in its anticipated X6M performance form, offering an early look at how BMW’s most powerful Sports Activity Vehicle could appear when it reaches showrooms.
The rendering, created by independent designer X-Tomi Design, builds on the design language of the recently unveiled 2015 BMW X6, but adds the signature M treatment. Flared wheel arches, larger air intakes and a more aggressive stance are all present, echoing cues from previous M models in BMW’s SUV line-up.
While BMW has yet to officially unveil the X6M or confirm its specifications, expectations centre on a development of the company’s 4.4-litre twin-turbocharged V8 petrol engine. The previous X6M produced 555hp, and sources suggest the new version will offer a similar or slightly higher output, likely paired with BMW’s xDrive all-wheel drive and an eight-speed automatic transmission.

At launch, the regular X6 is offered in xDrive30d, M50d and xDrive50i variants, with further petrol and diesel options to follow. The X6M will sit at the top of the range, aimed at buyers seeking maximum performance from BMW’s coupe-styled SUV.

Although official figures are still pending, the new X6M is widely expected to continue with a twin-turbo V8, reflecting BMW’s approach with the outgoing model and the latest X5M.
