C-X75 headlines Jaguar's Bond line-up
The Jaguar C-X75, originally a concept car, was revived specifically for Spectre, where it is driven by the villain Hinx, played by David Bautista. The model on display was developed by Jaguar Land Rover Special Vehicle Operations in partnership with Williams Advanced Engineering. In the film, the C-X75 features in a high-speed chase through Rome, providing a rare public outing for a car that never entered production. Its appearance at Frankfurt gave showgoers a close look at a car otherwise reserved for the big screen.
Land Rover's off-road duo for Austrian action
For scenes filmed in Austria, Jaguar Land Rover supplied two of its most capable off-roaders. The Range Rover Sport SVR, billed as the most powerful Land Rover ever, appears in action sequences alongside a specially prepared Defender. The Defender was modified by the SVO division with 37-inch tyres and reinforced bodywork to withstand the demands of snow-covered mountain roads. These upgrades were developed specifically for the film's stunts, highlighting the Defender's reputation for ruggedness and adaptability.
Star-studded launch event
Jaguar Land Rover unveiled the cars at an event held at Thurn und Taxis in Frankfurt, attended by Spectre cast members Naomie Harris and David Bautista. The display underscored the company's ongoing relationship with the James Bond franchise, using the global stage of the Frankfurt show to promote both the vehicles and their cinematic roles.
