Mercedes-Benz GLC receives genuine accessories line at 2015 Frankfurt show
Mercedes-Benz introduced a range of official accessories for the new GLC at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show, targeting buyers seeking more personalisation and practicality.
Mercedes-Benz used the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show to reveal a comprehensive range of genuine accessories for its new GLC SUV, aiming to broaden the model’s appeal with both cosmetic enhancements and practical add-ons. The showcase vehicle was the GLC 250 d 4MATIC, presented with several options from the official Mercedes-Benz Accessories catalogue.
The accessories portfolio, presented under the Mercedes-Benz Sport Equipment label, covers both exterior and interior upgrades. Buyers can specify an illuminated Mercedes star for the grille, a two-piece rear spoiler, high-gloss black mirror housings, and chrome-plated door handle recesses. Further visual tweaks include black hub caps and 20-inch five-spoke alloy wheels with a high-sheen finish.
Practical options for active owners
Mercedes-Benz also highlighted several accessories aimed at owners with active lifestyles. A rear-mounted cycle rack, designed to carry up to three bikes, was shown alongside basic carrier bars and a medium-sized roof box. These additions are intended to increase the GLC’s versatility for leisure and travel. Inside, the illuminated door sill panels and a folding table were among the features on display.
