Hyundai Reveals 2015 Azera Facelift at Miami Show
The updated Hyundai Azera gains revised styling, new technology and enhanced safety features for the 2015 model year, while retaining its 3.3-litre V6 engine.
Hyundai introduced the facelifted 2015 Azera at the Miami International Auto Show, updating its large saloon with fresh styling, new interior features and additional safety technology for the new model year. The revised Azera, known as the Grandeur in some markets, continues to target buyers seeking a well-equipped alternative to established rivals in the segment.
Exterior changes and visual updates
The 2015 Azera receives a redesigned front bumper, a new grille and updated rear bumper, giving the car a sharper appearance compared to the outgoing model. Hyundai has added LED fog lights and restyled 18-inch alloy wheels, while subtle tweaks to the lighting and trim help distinguish the facelift from the previous version. These changes align the Azera more closely with the brand’s evolving design language, as seen on other recent Hyundai models.
Interior upgrades and new technology
Inside, the facelift brings a new centre stack with an 8-inch infotainment display, designed to improve usability and visual appeal. The boot can now be opened hands-free, and illuminated door sills add a premium touch. Hyundai’s Blue Link connected services are included, expanding the car’s tech credentials. Safety equipment has also been upgraded, with Blind Spot Detection, Rear Cross Traffic Alert and Lane Change Assist now available. These additions reflect the growing emphasis on driver assistance in the large saloon segment.
Engine and mechanicals remain unchanged
Hyundai has kept the existing 3.3-litre Lambda II V6 engine for the 2015 Azera. Output remains at 293 hp (218 kW) and 345 Nm of torque, paired with a six-speed automatic transmission. No changes to the chassis or drivetrain were announced at launch, so performance and driving characteristics are expected to be in line with the previous model year. Pricing details had not been released at the time of the Miami debut.
Position in Hyundai’s saloon range
The Azera sits above the Sonata and below the Genesis in Hyundai’s North American saloon line-up, offering more space and equipment than the Sonata but without the rear-wheel-drive platform of the Genesis. The facelifted Azera arrives alongside other updated Hyundai models for 2015, including the Sonata and Genesis, as the brand continues to refresh its range for US buyers.
