The 2016 Lexus RX debuts with a bold new look, taking inspiration from the smaller NX SUV. The front end features the brand’s signature spindle grille and LED headlamps, while the rear is more angular with L-shaped LED tail lights and a sloping roofline. Designers have reworked the third side window and added a dual exhaust system for a sportier appearance.

Sharper design and upgraded cabin

Inside, Lexus has focused on comfort and technology. The RX now includes a standard colour head-up display and a 12.3-inch infotainment screen. Other highlights are a retractable panoramic sunroof, power-folding rear seats with a 60:40 split, and heated rear seats. Rear passengers can enjoy an entertainment system with twin 11.6-inch screens mounted behind the front headrests. The cabin aims to distinguish the RX in a crowded segment by offering luxury features as standard or optional.

A new F Sport version joins the range, distinguished by more aggressive exterior styling, a unique instrument cluster, sport steering wheel, paddle shifters, and adaptive variable suspension. The F Sport also introduces a Sport+ drive mode, in addition to the standard Eco, Normal, and Sport settings. These features are intended to deliver a sharper driving experience, particularly in the F Sport specification.
