2015 Subaru XV Crosstrek Priced from $21,595 in the US
Subaru has released US pricing for the 2015 XV Crosstrek, introducing a new entry-level 2.0i model below the previous base and revising equipment across the range.
Subaru has announced US pricing for the 2015 XV Crosstrek, with the new entry-level 2.0i model starting at $21,595 before an $850 destination charge. The 2015 model year brings a reshuffled range and updated equipment, with the new base model positioned below last year’s 2.0i Premium.
The new 2.0i trim undercuts the previous base by $400, reflecting Subaru’s effort to draw in buyers looking for a lower entry point to the brand’s compact crossover. The 2.0i comes with a 5-speed manual gearbox. Buyers wanting the continuously variable transmission (CVT) must step up to the Premium trim, which starts at $23,295 with the CVT or $22,295 for the manual.
Revised equipment and trim structure
For 2015, the 2.0i Premium receives a new multimedia system, which Subaru says accounts for a $300 price increase over the outgoing model. The Limited trim, available exclusively with the CVT, is listed at $24,795. Both Premium and Limited variants offer more equipment than the new base model, including upgraded interior materials and additional convenience features.
The hybrid XV Crosstrek continues unchanged in price, starting at $25,995 for the standard Hybrid and $29,295 for the Hybrid Touring, both before destination. This keeps the hybrid offering at the top of the XV Crosstrek price range.
Position in Subaru’s US range
The XV Crosstrek continues to serve buyers seeking a compact crossover with standard all-wheel drive, positioned below the larger Forester in Subaru’s US line-up. With the addition of the 2.0i base model, Subaru aims to compete more directly with rivals offering lower-priced entry-level trims.
The 2015 pricing announcement comes as Subaru updates several models. The XV Crosstrek’s structure now mirrors the approach seen elsewhere in the range, with a clear progression from value-focused base to better-equipped Premium and Limited trims, as well as the hybrid options for buyers prioritising fuel economy.
