Infiniti has introduced the 2016 QX80 to the Australian market, offering its largest SUV in a single, fully equipped specification. The QX80 arrives with a 5.6-litre V8 engine producing 298kW and 560Nm, paired to a seven-speed automatic gearbox and an all-mode four-wheel-drive system.
Priced at $118,529 drive-away, the QX80 targets buyers seeking a premium, full-size SUV with a strong focus on luxury and equipment. The model sits above the Infiniti QX70 in the brand’s local line-up and shares its underpinnings with Nissan’s Patrol, though with more upmarket appointments and technology.
Standard equipment and features
The Australian QX80 is fitted with 22-inch 14-spoke forged alloy wheels, LED headlights with integrated daytime running lights, a power sliding sunroof, roof rails and a powered tailgate. Inside, buyers find a Bose surround sound system, dual 7-inch rear entertainment screens, tri-zone automatic climate control, and leather upholstery throughout. Both front seats are electrically adjustable (10-way for the driver, 8-way for the passenger) and heated.
