Land Rover has confirmed the 2016 Range Rover Evoque for Australia, with updated features, a revised engine line-up and pricing starting at $51,995 AUD.
Land Rover has announced the 2016 Range Rover Evoque for Australia, confirming a November showroom arrival and a starting price of $51,995 AUD for the eD4 Pure 2WD manual. The revised Evoque range brings updated styling, new technology and a broader mix of engines and trims.
The entry-level eD4 Pure 2WD manual opens the range, followed by the TD4 150 Pure 4WD manual from $55,495 AUD and the TD4 150 Pure 4WD automatic at $57,995 AUD. The TD4 150 SE 4WD auto is priced at $62,495 AUD, with the TD4 180 SE 4WD auto at $66,495 AUD. The Si4 SE 4WD auto, fitted with the petrol engine, tops out the five-door range at $67,605 AUD.
Trim and engine options
Both three- and five-door Evoque body styles are offered. Higher up the range, buyers can opt for the TD4 180 HSE 4WD auto from $73,495 AUD or the Si4 HSE 4WD auto at $76,605 AUD. The TD4 180 HSE Dynamic 4WD auto is listed at $76,995 AUD, while the flagship Si4 HSE Dynamic 4WD auto reaches $80,605 AUD.

Standard and optional equipment
All Pure models feature automatic headlights and wipers, an auto-dimming rear-view mirror, rear air vents, lane departure warning, autonomous emergency braking, front and rear parking sensors, torque vectoring, satellite navigation and Land Rover’s InControl Touch infotainment system with an 8.0-inch touchscreen. The SE grade adds folding and heated side mirrors, carpet floor mats, keyless entry, interior mood lighting, active driveline and a gesture-powered tailgate.
The HSE trim brings automatic recirculation climate control, a head-up display, configurable interior mood lighting and 12-way electrically adjustable front seats with memory. At the top, HSE Dynamic models gain 19-inch alloy wheels, bonnet vents, an ebony headliner, illuminated tread plates and Oxford leather with a perforated and ribbed finish for the seats and steering wheel.
Position in the SUV market
The Evoque remains a key model for Land Rover in Australia’s premium compact SUV segment, where it competes with the likes of the Audi Q5 and BMW X3.
