Cadillac ATS-V and CTS-V enter German market with high-performance focus
Cadillac has launched its ATS-V and CTS-V performance saloons in Germany, with the CTS-V arriving as the most powerful production model in the brand’s history.
Cadillac has brought its high-performance ATS-V and CTS-V models to Germany, opening orders for both saloons as of August 2015. The CTS-V, priced at €98,500, enters the German market as Cadillac’s most powerful production car to date, while the ATS-V starts at €74,900 for the saloon and €77,500 for the coupe.
The CTS-V is powered by a 6.2-litre supercharged V8 producing 640hp (477kW) and 855Nm of torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Cadillac claims the CTS-V can accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in 3.7 seconds and reach a top speed of 320km/h. Standard equipment includes third-generation Magnetic Ride Control, a Brembo braking system, a carbon fibre bonnet, 19-inch wheels fitted with Michelin Pilot Super Sport tyres, and a cabin featuring matte-finish carbon fibre trim and sueded microfibre accents.
ATS-V: BMW M3 rival arrives
The ATS-V, aimed at the same buyers as the BMW M3 and M4, is offered in both saloon and coupe forms. Both variants use a 3.6-litre twin-turbocharged V6, delivering 455hp (339kW) and 603Nm of torque. Buyers can choose between a six-speed manual or an eight-speed automatic gearbox. The ATS-V can sprint from 0 to 100km/h in 3.9 seconds, according to Cadillac.
