Galpin Auto Sports and Henrik Fisker have revealed the Rocket Speedster, a 725hp carbon-bodied roadster based on the Ford Mustang GT, at the 2015 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance.

The car follows the Rocket coupe, which was first shown in Los Angeles in late 2014.
Design and engineering
The Rocket Speedster’s exterior features extensive carbon fibre bodywork, including a deep metallic red finish and a bespoke tonneau cover that stretches from the front seat headrests to the rear deck, giving the car its speedster profile. The cover eliminates the use of the rear seats, prioritising the two-seat open-top layout. Large 21-inch alloy wheels and an additional air scoop on the rear fenders further distinguish the car from the standard Mustang GT.
Galpin and Fisker have fitted the Rocket Speedster with 15-inch Brembo Gran Turismo brakes to handle the car’s increased power and performance ambitions. The interior receives unique graphic treatments to match the exterior’s sculpted lines, although detailed images of the cabin were not released at launch.
Performance and production plans
Power comes from a supercharged 5.0-litre V8, tuned to deliver 725hp (540kW), a substantial increase over the standard Mustang GT.
