DMC unveils 900hp Lamborghini Aventador LP900 Molto Veloce
DMC’s LP900 Molto Veloce package transforms the Lamborghini Aventador with major engine upgrades and a carbon-heavy body kit, pushing output to 900hp.
DMC has launched its LP900 Molto Veloce upgrade for the Lamborghini Aventador, delivering a claimed 900hp through extensive engine modifications and a full suite of carbon fibre bodywork. The German tuner’s package, revealed in September 2012, targets buyers seeking more power and presence than Lamborghini’s standard V12 flagship.
The headline figure comes from a series of mechanical changes to the Aventador’s 6.5-litre V12. DMC replaces the factory overhead throttle valves with 12 individual single-intake throttle plates, one for each cylinder. The tuning package also swaps out the standard injection nozzles, pressure modulators, fuel pumps, and fuel lines. A new exhaust system completes the list of engine hardware changes, all of which combine to push output well beyond the factory 700hp.
Beyond the powertrain, DMC fits the LP900 with a new front spoiler, a redesigned splitter lip, and a carbon fibre rear diffuser that incorporates an added tunnel system. The visual upgrades are aimed at both aerodynamic performance and street presence. Carbon fibre is used extensively, with the intention of reducing weight and giving the Aventador a more aggressive look.
What the upgrade means for Aventador owners
The LP900 Molto Veloce package is aimed at owners who want more than Lamborghini’s own performance variants. At €125,000 for the full set of modifications in 2012, the cost sits well above most aftermarket body kits or exhausts, but DMC’s approach is more comprehensive. The mechanical changes are not limited to software or bolt-on parts, and the bodywork is bespoke to the package.
Pricing and availability
DMC set the price for the LP900 Molto Veloce package at €125,000, excluding the base car. The kit is available for order directly from DMC, with installation requiring specialist fitment given the extent of the mechanical changes. As with most high-end tuning projects, buyers should expect lead times for both parts and installation.
