Lewis Hamilton has expanded his supercar collection with the arrival of a customised McLaren P1 in a vivid baby blue finish. The car was delivered to the Formula One driver's home in Monaco, where it joins his already high-profile garage.

The McLaren P1 stands out even among hypercars, but Hamilton's specification pushes personalisation further. The exterior is painted in a bright shade of blue not commonly seen on the P1, with matching blue stripes on the wheels. Gloss black side mirrors and carbon fibre exhaust elements complete the exterior theme. Inside, the car carries the blue and black motif with Alcantara across the dashboard, black trim and more carbon fibre accents.

Technical details of Hamilton's P1

Under the bodywork, Hamilton's car uses the same hybrid powertrain as other P1s. A 3.8-litre twin-turbocharged V8 produces 727hp and 719Nm, paired with an electric motor adding 176hp and 260Nm. Combined, the system delivers 903hp and 978Nm, sent to the rear wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox. McLaren quotes a 0–100km/h time of 2.8 seconds and a top speed electronically limited to 350km/h.

A growing collection of rare supercars

Hamilton's new P1 joins a fleet that already includes a one-off Pagani Zonda 760LH, which has also drawn attention for its unique specification and, more recently, its high-profile crash in Monaco. The P1's arrival further cements his status as a collector of rare and highly personalised machinery. For more on Hamilton's Zonda, see Lewis Hamilton crashes €2m Pagani Zonda in Monaco.
