Krumm-Performance has introduced a comprehensive upgrade package for the MINI John Cooper Works, lifting the hot hatch’s output to 300hp and adding a range of performance and track-oriented hardware. The German tuner’s Stage III kit targets owners seeking more power and sharper handling than the standard JCW offers.

Power and drivetrain upgrades

The core of the Krumm-Performance package is the Stage III engine upgrade. This includes a custom intake, racing intercooler, revised turbocharger and an Akrapovic downpipe. The result is a claimed 300hp and 400Nm of torque, up from the standard MINI JCW’s factory figures. The engine modifications are priced at €4,999.

To handle the extra power, Krumm-Performance offers a revised transmission setup. This features a Drexler limited slip differential (€2,150) and a Sachs racing clutch (€1,620), aimed at improving traction and durability under high loads. These upgrades are designed to work with the MINI’s existing gearbox, targeting both road and track-day use.

Chassis, brakes and wheels

Chassis modifications include a KW Clubsport suspension kit (€2,550) for improved handling and adjustability. Braking is upgraded with AP Racing four-piston calipers (€3,300), offering greater stopping power for track work. The car rides on 17-inch ATS-GTR wheels wrapped in Dunlop Direzza 03G tyres (215/45), a combination aimed at maximising grip.

Track-focused interior and exterior changes

The package extends to the cabin and bodywork, with a Wiechers Clubsport rollover bar, Recaro seats and an OMP Ultraleggero steering wheel. A bespoke rear diffuser (€600) and full body wrap are available for buyers seeking a more aggressive look. These additions are intended to prepare the MINI JCW for serious track use while maintaining everyday usability.

Krumm-Performance’s MINI JCW package joins a growing market for specialist hot hatch upgrades. For those interested in alternative 300hp MINI conversions, see the Manhart F300’s approach to the same platform (/manhart-performance-takes-the-mini-jcw-to-f300-level-packing-300-hp).
