Peugeot brought its new RCZ Coupé to the UK for the first time at the MPH Prestige & Performance Motor Show, held from 5 to 8 November 2009 at Earls Court, London, and from 12 to 15 November at the NEC, Birmingham. The RCZ was the centrepiece of Peugeot’s stand, marking its first public appearance in Britain ahead of its planned launch the following year.

The RCZ, Peugeot’s two-plus-two sports coupé, attracted attention with its double-bubble roof and distinctive styling. The car was shown alongside the 3008 crossover and the 308 CC, which continued Peugeot’s tradition of folding hardtop coupé cabriolets. The RCZ was positioned as a standalone model, separate from the core 308 range, and aimed at buyers looking for a more sporting alternative to the standard hatchbacks and saloons.

207 S2000 rally car and driver appearances

Peugeot also highlighted the 207 S2000, fresh from its Intercontinental Rally Challenge (IRC) success. The car, driven by Kris Meeke and co-driver Paul Nagle, had secured the IRC title for Peugeot UK. Both Meeke and Nagle attended the show to meet fans, sign autographs and discuss their championship-winning season. The 207 S2000’s presence underlined Peugeot’s motorsport credentials and its ongoing involvement in international rallying.
