An unofficial rendering has surfaced online showing what a Renault Talisman RS could look like if the French manufacturer decides to build a high-performance version of its D-segment saloon. The image, created by X-Tomi Design, gives the car a more aggressive appearance and has reignited speculation about a potential flagship RS model.
The rendering shows the Talisman with a lowered ride height, black roof, larger wheels over what appear to be upgraded brakes, and prominent RS badging on the front grille. The bodywork is finished in orange with contrasting black accents, setting it apart from the standard Talisman range. These visual tweaks are typical of Renault Sport models, though the image remains speculative at this stage.
Renault has not officially confirmed development or production of a Talisman RS. However, sources indicate the company has not ruled out the possibility, and that it could consider such a model if there is sufficient customer demand. The current Talisman range is powered by a selection of petrol and diesel engines, including the TCe 150 and TCe 200 petrol units paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission, and dCi 110 and dCi 130 diesels. A twin-turbo diesel is also planned for the standard line-up.
What could power a Talisman RS?
No technical details have been released for a possible RS variant. The most powerful engine currently offered is the 200hp petrol, which is unlikely to satisfy RS performance expectations. Renault Sport models such as the Megane RS have used more powerful turbocharged engines, so any Talisman RS would likely require a significant power increase and chassis upgrades to match the badge.
The Talisman RS remains a digital exercise for now, but the interest generated by such renderings could influence Renault’s future product planning if enough customers express demand for a high-performance saloon. Until then, the Talisman RS is an idea rather than a production reality.
