Rare Callaway C4 Corvette with 10,000 Miles Sells on eBay for $34,000
One of only 105 Callaway twin-turbo C4 Corvettes built in 1988, showing just over 10,000 miles, has changed hands on eBay for around $34,000.
A 1988 Callaway C4 Corvette with just over 10,000 miles on the clock has been sold via eBay for about $34,000, according to CorvetteForum. The car is one of only 105 Callaway twin-turbo Corvettes produced that year, making it among the rarest variants of the C4 generation.
The Callaway conversion added a twin-turbocharged V8 producing 420 horsepower, a substantial increase over the standard car. Additional equipment included a Callaway AeroBody kit, Brembo brakes, a coilover suspension setup, and the Heavy Duty Wonderbar. These upgrades were developed at Callaway’s facility in Old Lyme, Connecticut, and distinguish the car from regular production Corvettes of the era.
According to the listing, the car spent most of its 28 years in a climate-controlled garage, which accounts for its condition. The low mileage and rare specification are likely to attract collectors seeking one of the most distinctive C4s produced. Callaway C4 Corvette: Collector Appeal
With so few built and even fewer surviving in such original condition, the Callaway C4 has become a sought-after model among Corvette enthusiasts. The $34,000 sale price reflects both its rarity and the premium attached to low-mileage, well-preserved examples. Buyers looking for a unique piece of late-1980s American performance engineering will find little else as distinct as a Callaway-prepared Corvette from this period.
